Principal’s Discretionary Scholarships are offered to students from Year 7-12 Successful students receive part remission of the general tuition fees. This may be for a student who has academic, sporting, cultural (drama, dance or visual art) or music abilities. Specific information about Principal’s Discretionary in Music is under the Music tab.
Students applying for a Principal’s Discretion Scholarship will exhibit strong leadership qualities, be a role model for their peers and be a “team player”. They will be an “all-rounder”, possessing skills and abilities in a variety of areas such as academic, sporting, music, cultural and service.
To apply for a Principal's Discretionary Scholarship, applicants are required to complete the application form, and submit along with a covering letter, written by the student, indicating if there is a particular focus for their talents (eg Regional or State representative for chosen sport, talents, community service) and their reasons for wishing to attend Fraser Coast Anglican College. Please also supply copies of the students last two semesters school reports, most recent NAPLAN results and any other relevant certificates that may support their application.
Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview with the Principal. Principal’s Discretion Scholarships are provided for part remission of the published General Tuition fees. Awardees will retain the scholarship in following years provided they maintain performance and conduct commensurate with the award.
